The Islamic Dawah Centre of Australia (IDCA) is an Islamic charity organisation based in Sydney’s south west. IDCA has been in operation since 1998, servicing the local (Sydney, NSW) and international communities. During this time, IDCA has accomplished a solid foundation by working in the fields of spiritual, social, educational and provisional developments.
The Initial “Build the Masjid” Campaign
Upon Auburn Council’s approval for a place of worship on the 3,882 sqm block of land at 361 Chisholm Road Auburn, IDCA embarked on a large scale fundraising campaign to acquire the finances required to secure the purchase of the land. Between November 2009 and March 2010, IDCA hosted various fundraising projects and events in the community. As a result, numerous donations were received for the masjid project.
By the Grace of Allah, IDCA had successfully collected its target for the settlement of the land and Stamp Duty of $1,804,142 (AUD).
